Israeli occupation forces have bombarded the Gaza Strip with airstrikes, resulting in at least 14 Palestinian civilian deaths since dawn today. The violence marks a continuation of hostilities that have persisted for over 600 days, with a notable escalation in the past 72 days following Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s decision to withdraw from ceasefire negotiations.

With strong US backing and little international intervention, the military campaign against Gaza continues unabated. According to Palestinian media sources, dozens of airstrikes have targeted residential areas in recent hours. The humanitarian situation has deteriorated further as the blockade, now in its 16th year, has been tightened since early March, restricting essential food supplies to the region.

Health officials in Gaza confirmed that the 14 fatalities, including women and children, resulted from multiple strikes across the territory. In one incident, an Israeli drone strike on journalist Osama Al-Arbid’s home in Gaza City killed eight civilians and wounded several others. A separate attack on the Aqeelan family residence in Deir Al-Balah claimed six lives and left many injured.

The bombardment has also damaged critical infrastructure, with midnight airstrikes hitting the Ma’an area near Khan Yunis and the demolition of residential buildings in eastern Gaza City and southern Khan Yunis. Critics describe these actions as part of a systematic policy of collective punishment and forced displacement, reportedly endorsed by senior Israeli officials including Prime Minister Netanyahu.

Martyrs, Missing Near US Aid Point in Rafah.
Yesterday, the occupation forces committed a new massacre in the city of Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip, against civilians who had gathered in the aid distribution areas run by the occupation, known as the “buffer zones.”
The Government Media Office stated that three civilians were killed, 46 others were injured, and seven people remain missing after the occupation forces opened fire on the starving civilians, most of whom responded to the occupation’s calls to receive humanitarian aid.
Aid distribution to displaced families has failed due to Israel’s ongoing starvation policy in Gaza. The Israeli occupation forces have established only one aid distribution point for 2 million people, worsening the situation.

The office emphasized that what happened in Rafah constitutes a documented massacre and a fully fledged war crime, committed in cold blood against civilians exhausted by the siege and starvation.

These civilians have been under siege for more than 90 days with the crossings closed and have been living under the yoke of ongoing genocide for nearly 20 months, amid a comprehensive shortage of food and medicine. This is part of a blatant plan for genocide and forced displacement, publicly acknowledged by the occupation’s Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, and a number of his ministers.
