Ghalibaf’s comments came during an open session of the Shura Council, which was followed by a closed meeting to deliberate on the repercussions of the Israeli occupation’s assassination of Nasrallah. He remarked, “If the Resistance were to falter due to the martyrdom of its leaders, we would not have seen the successes of the Axis of Resistance following the martyrdom of Qassem Soleimani.”
He further stated that the “Zionist enemy has miscalculated,” warning that such errors will ultimately lead to its downfall. Ghalibaf reaffirmed Iran’s commitment to supporting the Resistance, stating, “We will not hesitate to assist the Resistance at any level in accordance with the religious rulings of the Leader of the Revolution and the Islamic Republic, Sayyed Ali Khamenei.”
In a show of solidarity, a mourning ceremony was held in the Islamic Shura Council Hall, where representatives gathered to honor Nasrallah’s memory. The atmosphere was charged with emotion as attendees chanted slogans like “Death to America” and “We are with you, Nasrallah,” demonstrating their unwavering support for the Resistance movement.
Supreme Leader Sayyed Ali Khamenei also emphasized that the blood of Sayyed Nasrallah will not be shed in vain, ensuring that his teachings and legacy will endure.
