Two Israelis were injured early Tuesday morning when Palestinian resistance fighters opened fire on their car near the entrance to Joseph’s Tomb in the West Bank city of Nablus.
Five Israeli settlers in a vehicle tried to storm Joseph’s Tomb area, and where shot by fighters belonging to Nablus Brigade, a resistance group affiliated with Islamic Jihad movement, Palestinian media reported.
An Israeli force then approached the scene and offered assistance to the settlers, according to Palestine Today.
Two of them were moderately injured and transferred to hospital, Israeli media reported.
Joseph’s Tomb is located inside Area A of the West Bank, which is officially under complete Palestinian Authority control, though the Israeli military conducts raids there.
