The Ministry of Interior and Municipalities – the General Directorate of Political Affairs and Refugees – on Wednesday announced in a statement that, at 12:00 am on Tuesday 15/3/2022, the nomination window for parliamentary elections has closed, and that the number of candidates has reached 1043, including 155 females.
The statement also noted that the deadline for submitting permits to withdraw candidacy ends at 12:00 am on Wednesday 30/3/2022.
It is worth noting that the parliamentary election is scheduled to be held on May 15, 2022.
