A phone call took place between the Speaker of Parliament, Mr. Nabih Berri, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Dr. Badr Abdelatty, during which they discussed developments in Lebanon and the region.
Minister Abdelatty reiterated Egypt’s keenness on stability in Lebanon, stressing that the focus should be on the need for the complete withdrawal of the Israeli enemy from South Lebanon and the deployment of the Lebanese Army, affirming that the complete Israeli withdrawal is the key to stability in Lebanon.
For his part, Speaker Nabih Berri reiterated his emphasis on the necessity of avoiding sedition in Lebanon and the keenness to exert every effort to safeguard and preserve stability and civil peace.
