Israeli occupation forces shot and killed two Palestinian teenagers near the illegal settlement of Karmei Tzur in the southern West Bank on Monday, while a wave of overnight military raids and extremist settler attacks swept across multiple cities and villages, leaving several wounded and at least five others abducted.
Security and local sources identified the deceased as 15-year-old Reda Sami Hassan Awad and 19-year-old Issa Arafat Ismail Awad, both hailing from the town of Beit Ummar, north of al-Khalil (Hebron), according to the official Palestinian news agency WAFA.
In what witnesses described as a brutal escalation, Israeli occupation troops left the two teenagers bleeding at the scene before seizing their bodies. Palestinian Red Crescent teams were reportedly barred from reaching the victims, preventing immediate medical intervention and recovery.

The killings near Karmei Tzur came amid a significant escalation in military operations across the West Bank that began late Sunday night and continued into Monday morning, compounded by a sharp uptick in attacks by armed Israeli settlers.
Raids, Abductions, and Assaults Across Multiple Governorates
In the northern city of Nablus, a Palestinian woman sustained injuries after being physically assaulted by Israeli occupation soldiers during a raid on the village of Kafr Qallil. Concurrently, occupation forces abducted a young man from his residence in the al-Makhfiya neighborhood of Nablus City, while conducting extensive search operations in other parts of the city and adjacent towns.
Further west, in the Tulkarem governorate, Israeli forces stormed the town of Saida, where they assaulted and injured a young man during home searches. Military vehicles also invaded the towns of Bal’a and Illar, though no arrests were reported in those specific locations.
In the Jenin district, a young man was abducted from his home during a raid on the al-Kharuba neighborhood, as occupation troops tightened their grip on the city.
Meanwhile, in a separate incident south of Ramallah, Israeli occupation forces raided the residence of Dr. Mazen al-Rantis in the village of Rantis, detaining the medical professional without providing a public explanation.
Settlers Ramp Up Attacks on Civilian Property
Parallel to the military campaigns, a group of extremist Israeli settlers set fire to multiple Palestinian vehicles in the village of Shuqba, located west of Ramallah. The arson attack comes amid a documented surge in settler-led violence targeting communities, agricultural lands, and private property across the occupied territory.
Surging Toll Since October 7
According to reports from Israeli and Palestinian rights organizations, violence perpetrated by occupation forces and settlers has intensified markedly in recent years, with the occupied West Bank witnessing near-daily incursions.
Palestinian figures reveal that since October 8, 2023 one day after the onset of the broader Gaza war at least 1,169 Palestinians have been martyred in the West Bank, while 12,666 others have sustained injuries. Additionally, approximately 23,000 individuals have been abducted, and nearly 33,000 have been forcibly displaced amid relentless military raids and escalating settler aggression.
