    Massacre in Barish: Israeli Strikes Kill Family of Four as Bombardment Engulfs Southern Lebanon and Bekaa Valley

      In a dramatic escalation that shatters the fragile ceasefire, Israeli occupation forces launched a massive wave of airstrikes and artillery bombardments across southern Lebanon on Saturday, targeting dozens of towns and villages in the Nabatieh and South governorates, as well as the Western Bekaa Valley. The aggression reached a horrific peak with a massacre in the town of Barish, where an entire family of four was obliterated in an enemy airstrike.

      The massacre in Barish claimed the lives of Father Hassan Ismail Khalil, Mother Israa Ali Obeid, and their two children, Ali and Muhammad Hassan Ismail Khalil. The direct hit on their home by enemy warplanes left no survivors, marking one of the most grievous civilian tolls since the ceasefire went into effect.

      The extensive military offensive blanketed the Nabatieh governorate, with enemy warplanes and artillery pounding a sprawling list of towns, including Al-Namiriya, Jebchit, Al-Duwayr, Nabatieh al-Fawqa, Kfarjouz, Shoukin, Nabatieh City, Haboush, Deir al-Zahrani, Al-Rafie, Arab Salim, Toul, Al-Kafour, Sajd, Zibdine, Al-Mahmoudiya, Al-Rayhan, Kfar Remman, Kfar Tebnit, and Burj Qalawiya. Concurrently, warplanes struck Burj Qalawiya, Barish, and Qabrikha in the Tyre district, while enemy artillery shelling additionally targeted the town of Qabrikha.

      A drone strike on a vehicle in the town of Deir Zahrani resulted in one fatality. In Doueir, a drone targeted a motorcycle, with first responders recovering one body from the scene. The town of Arab Salim witnessed three confirmed fatalities, while reports from Burj Qalawiya indicated multiple casualties and injuries were also sustained in the airstrike on Qabrikha.

      Al-Rihan area was subjected to a fierce barrage of five successive airstrikes extending from Marj to Kasara. Simultaneously, waves of aerial raids struck Rafie, Nabatieh al-Fouqa, Nabatieh City, Kfar Remman, Kfarjouz, Shoukin, Qabrikha, and Burj Qalawiya in rapid succession. Artillery shelling further targeted the town of Majdal Zoun, while enemy ground forces conducted combing operations in the Bayt al-Sayyad area. In separate incidents, an enemy drone struck open land in Deir Qanoun Ras al-Ain and Kawthariyat al-Ruz, though no casualties were reported in those specific raids.

      In the Bekaa Governorate, enemy warplanes launched two distinct raids on the town of Labaya in the Western Bekaa, extending the theater of aggression eastward. Additionally, an enemy drone targeted an orchard near the coastline in the Ma’aliya Plain, underscoring the breadth of the military operation.
