Iran’s foreign minister Abbas Araqchi affirmed on Thursday that his country has always stood by Lebanon against Israeli aggression and occupation, voicing Tehran’s readiness to reinforce the bilateral ties withy Beirut.
Speaking during his visit to the shrine of the Master of the Umm Martyrs, late Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah, Araqchi paid tribute to “all those who sacrificed and the martyrs who watered this pure land defending truth and justice.”
Araqchi stressed that the Islamic Republic of Iran supports the sovereignty, territorial integrity, and unity of Lebanon and calls for the end of occupation.
Araqchi concluded by underscoring Iran’s keenness to strengthen relations with Lebanon, its government, and all components of the Lebanese people.
Upon arriving at Beirut’s Rafik Hariri International Airport today, Thursday, Araqchi declared that “the Zionist entity is violating its commitments under the ceasefire agreement in Lebanon.” He stated that a primary goal of his visit is to strengthen bilateral relations, emphasizing that “our region is currently facing numerous challenges and unprecedented threats from Israel.”
