Hezbollah Air Defenses Intercept Sophisticated Israeli Drones over Bekaa, South Lebanon

Among the long list of statements released by Hezbollah Military Media on Thursday were two that detailed how the Resistance air defense fighters fired sophisticated missiles at Israeli combat drones, forcing one Hermes 450 (Zik) to retreat and downing a Heron 1 glider.

Islamic Resistance fighters confronted an “Israeli” Hermes 450 (Zik) drone in the skies over the Iqlim Al-Tuffah region on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at 10:45, with a surface-to-air missile, forcing it to retreat, according to a statement numbered 3 by Hezbollah Military Media.

Moreover, statement numbered 9 indicated that the Islamic Resistance fighters shot down an Israeli enemy army drone of the “Heron 1” type in the skies over the Nahla area in Bekaa with a sophisticated missile.
