The Zionist military spokesman announced that one of the Resistance fighters crossed on Tuesday the Lebanese-Palestinian borders into Ramim area and opened fire at the occupation forces.
The “Israeli” Occupation Army Radio detailed the incident:
Following a preliminary investigation – additional details regarding the incident involving the infiltration of the attacker into “Israeli” territory in the Ramim Ridge area:
The attacker infiltrated into an “Israeli” enclave located behind the border fence inside Lebanon and was wearing a Hezbollah military uniform.
During an operation by “Israeli” army forces inside southern Lebanon, the forces came under gunfire. The fire was directed at troops operating inside Lebanese territory, and a direct exchange of fire took place near the border fence.
After the forces killed the attacker and searched the area, his body was found inside an “Israeli” enclave located behind the border fence. In official terms, he had infiltrated into “Israeli” territory, but according to the information available so far, he did not breach the security fence or enter a civilian area. This enclave behind the border fence is, by its nature, a military zone.
The attacker whose body was found was wearing a Hezbollah military uniform and was carrying a weapon and a knife.
At this stage, no additional indications or evidence have been found. Search operations are still ongoing, both by drone from the air and by special forces and infantry units on the ground, but nothing further has been discovered so far.
David Azoulay, head of the Metula local council, commented on the infiltration attempt, saying: “This is further proof that there is no security even after nearly three years of war in the north, even when the Israeli army established something resembling a security zone.”
The Israeli media directly recalled October 7 events, describing the incident as a nightmare.
