The commander of the Quds Force in Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Brig. Gen. Esmail Qaani, warned that ongoing Israeli attacks on Lebanon and the Gaza Strip could trigger broader regional escalation and activate additional fronts.

Qaani said that “the recent evil practices of the Zionists in Lebanon and Gaza, under the blatant support of the United States, will strengthen the resolve of the resistance axis to expand support for both fronts and make the maritime situation in the Bab El-Mandeb Strait similar to that in the Strait of Hormuz.”

He added that continued Israeli strikes are likely to push allied groups to intensify their backing of Lebanon and Gaza, raising the prospect of further fronts being opened against Israel.

Qaani also said the “miserable Zionist entity” should understand that its simultaneous operations in southern Lebanon and Gaza “will plunge it into a vortex of Hezbollah operations and a new wave unleashed by the Palestinian resistance.”

He warned that persisting with such policies would widen regional tensions and further complicate the security and military landscape.
