Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yisrael Katz issued on Monday a joint statement threatening to bomb the southern suburbs of Beirut, Dahiyeh, in what appears to be a green light by the Donald Trump Administration.
“Following the repeated violations of the ceasefire in Lebanon by the Hezbollah terror organization and the attacks against our cities and citizens, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz instructed the IDF to strike terror targets in the Dahiyeh quarter of Beirut,” they said in a joint statement, referring to Hezbollah Lebanese resistance group and the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF).
Since the so-called Lebanon ceasefire took effect on April 17, it was reported that the Israeli enemy has avoided to strike Beirut and Dahiyeh. However, Dahiyeh was struck twice in the last four weeks.
Meanwhile on Monday, the enemy army issued two threats to evacuate towns and villages in southern Lebanon, amid continuous attacks in the area. The first threat included towns of Mleekh, Kfar Houna, Al-Aqbiyeh, Zrayriyeh, Marwaniyeh, Snaiber, Najjariyeh, Addousiyeh and Khirbet Basal. The second threat included the towns of Houmin Al-Fawqa, Bna’foul, Arab Salim, Roumin, Azza, Erkai and Jabaa.
Iran’s foreign ministry spokesperson, Esmaeil Baghaei, said on Monday that Israeli attacks in Lebanon were among factors causing a delay to the diplomatic process to end the US-Iran war, reiterating that a Lebanon ceasefire was an integral part of any deal.

The opposing party constantly changes its stance, raises new or contradictory demands, and issues different, contradictory, and inconsistent messages in the media — it is natural that this situation prolongs the negotiation process.
