“Israel Mired in Lebanon Quagmire, Hezbollah Drones Constitute Deadly Nightmare”

Sources told Al-Manar TV that the Israeli army “is mired in a quagmire in Lebanon,” stressing that Hezbollah resistance group’s FPV drones “constitute deadly nightmare for the invading forces.”

The sources revealed that Hezbollah’s Islamic Resistance carried out a series of drone strikes over the past two days targeting key Israeli military positions in northern occupied Palestine, including the strategic Branit barracks.

According to the sources, the Branit base, home to the command headquarters of the Galilee Division (91st Division), was struck in an operation that targeted Iron Dome batteries, described as a central pillar of Israeli air defense system. The attack reportedly resulted in the death of one Israeli soldier, with an officer and another soldier seriously wounded, and the destruction of three Iron Dome batteries.

The sources added that the Resistance also targeted the Ramim barracks with two drones. The site, located on the occupied Lebanese town of Hounin, is considered a key military installation for surveillance and early warning. Two additional Iron Dome batteries were reportedly destroyed in that strike, bringing the total number of targeted batteries in recent days to seven.

Further operations included strikes on the Ras Al-Naqoura naval site, a strategic installation overlooking a significant portion of the maritime border area, as well as the Jal Al-Alam position and the Rêve De La Mer hotel in Naqoura, where Israeli forces were said to have taken shelter due to its proximity to UNIFIL headquarters.

Within Lebanese territory, Resistance fighters reportedly destroyed technical surveillance equipment at a newly established Israeli position in the Nimr Al-Jamal area, south of Alma Al-Shaab, and struck the Jardah point in the town of Dhaira.

Sources said the attacks rendered inoperable advanced systems used by Israeli forces for reconnaissance, drone detection, and electronic surveillance, significantly degrading their operational capabilities. They added that Israeli troops have increasingly resorted to concealment and nighttime movement, though these measures have not prevented further strikes.

The sources further indicated that the Hezbollah Resistance employed “Ababil” heat-seeking drones in a nighttime operation that achieved direct hits, forcing Israeli forces to acknowledge casualties. The wounded were reportedly evacuated to Rambam Hospital in Haifa, while at least two soldiers were said to have been killed.

According to the sources, the sustained drone campaign has restricted Israeli military activity, even during night hours, and exposed vulnerabilities in evolving tactics. They added that further footage of the operations would be released, underscoring the growing pressure on Israeli forces along the southern Lebanon front.

“In the end, the Israeli enemy’s change of tactics and reliance on nighttime movement is no longer effective, as it has become exposed even at night. The resistance will broadcast footage of these attacks successively, which confirms once again that the Israeli occupation forces are now effectively mired in the quagmire of southern Lebanon and under the control of the drones, which constitute a real and deadly nightmare for those who violate Lebanon’s sovereignty,” the sources told Al-Manar.
