Israeli Warplanes Bombard Bekaa and South in Overnight Assault

Israeli warplanes launched a wave of airstrikes on Lebanon late Friday night into Saturday, targeting the outskirts of Brital in the eastern Bekaa Valley with six strikes in just ten minutes.

An Israeli airstrike also hit a house in the town of Al-Rafid in the western Bekaa Valley.

In southern Lebanon, Al-Manar correspondent reported that Israeli warplanes struck the towns of Srifa in the Tyre district, as well as Baraachit and Haris in the Bint Jbeil district. Additional airstrikes targeted the town of Tibnin and the town of Kfar.

Our correspondent added that Israeli occupation forces carried out two airstrikes near Hiram Hospital in Tyre, and shelled the town of Deir Qanoun al-Nahr.

The attacks coincided with Israeli artillery shelling of the town of Al-Haniyah in the Tyre district, and both Al-Ghandouriyah and the outskirts of Hadatha in the Bint Jbeil district.

The Israeli occupation continues to violate the ceasefire agreement signed with Lebanon on April 17, repeatedly targeting civilian residential areas.

The escalation of Israeli aggression since last March has resulted in more than 12,000 casualties, including both martyrs and wounded.
