Hezbollah Wages War of Attrition: Israeli Media

Israeli Channel 12 reported that Hezbollah has shifted its military approach and is now conducting what it described as a “war of attrition” against ‘Israel’, pointing to sustained cross-border operations and continued pressure on Israeli forces along the northern front.

According to the Israeli media outlet, Hezbollah has adapted its tactics by operating through small, decentralized combat cells, enabling more flexible and persistent field activity. The report said this structure has contributed to ongoing operational pressure on the Israeli military in southern Lebanon.

Israeli Channel 12 added that Hezbollah’s current strategy includes the use of drones, suicide drones, and smaller missile systems launched in separate, repeated salvos across a broad front.

“While these attacks are not always large in scale, their frequency has reportedly increased significantly,” Israeli Channel 12 said, as cited by Hezbollah Military Media which draws on Hebrew-language press reporting.

Military sources cited by the Israeli Channel 12 said Hezbollah is capable of launching larger coordinated barrages but is instead opting to disperse its firepower to maintain continuous alerts and exhaust Israeli field units over time, creating what they described as a sustained operational strain on frontline forces.
