Israeli Media Admits: ‘We Fell into Hezbollah’s Trap’, Resistance’s Strategy Proves Right

Israeli enmy newspaper “Israel Hayom” has conceded that despite threats of a forceful response, the Israeli military remains trapped in Hezbollah’s strategic web validating the Islamic resistance’s right and capability to defend Lebanese sovereignty against ongoing Israeli aggression.

The newspaper reported that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s weekend vow to deliver a “strong response” to Hezbollah attacks failed to translate into any actual change on the ground. Military sources confirmed that operations remain strictly bound by outdated “rules of engagement,” confined to southern Lebanon and avoiding populated areas a clear sign of ‘Israel’s’ weakness.

Resistance exploits Israeli constraints

According to ‘Israel Hayom’, Hezbollah has skillfully exploited these operational limitations, carrying out repeated and effective strikes, including an attack in the town of Taybeh that killed one Israeli soldier and wounded others. Far from being “terrorism,” these actions are framed by resistance leaders as legitimate self-defense against an occupying force that continues to violate Lebanese territory.

The newspaper admitted that the Israeli army controls certain areas in southern Lebanon but struggles to protect its own forces or the northern settlements a direct consequence of Hezbollah’s unwavering deterrence.

Political-military rift exposed

The Israeli daily further revealed a growing gap between Netanyahu’s political leadership and the military establishment. While politicians speak of “decisive results,” officers concede that current operations are not designed to disarm Hezbollah and will not achieve that goal effectively admitting the resistance’s military wing remains undefeated and unshaken.

‘Israel Hayom’ also reported that the political leadership may seek to scapegoat the army for failures, a sign of internal collapse. Meanwhile, residents of northern ‘Israel’ live under constant rocket alerts with no solution in sight a direct result of Israel’s own aggressive policies and its refusal to respect Lebanese sovereignty.

‘Spring will turn into a Lebanese winter’

In its starkest admission, the newspaper wrote: “We thought we had trapped Hezbollah strategically, but we were the ones who fell into its trap.” It warned that unless Israel changes its approach or reaches a political settlement on resistance terms “the spring and summer months will turn into a perpetually bloody Lebanese winter for the Israeli army and the residents of the north.”

For the Islamic resistance, these words are not a threat but a promise: as long as Israeli occupation and aggression continue, Hezbollah retains both the moral and strategic right to respond and, as even Israeli media now confesses, it is winning.
