Israeli Army Bogged Down in Lebanese Quagmire, Enemy Media Admits

Enemy media outlets are raising sharp questions and criticism over the performance of the Israeli government, particularly Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, accusing him of dragging the zionist regime into a war that has yielded no results neither against the Islamic Republic of Iran nor in Lebanon, where the army is sinking deeper into its quagmire by the day.

The Hebrew newspaper Maariv stated: “Despite the summer weather in recent days, the picture from the north is clear: The Israeli army is bogged down in the Lebanese quagmire.”

The same newspaper noted that “dozens or hundreds of Hezbollah fighters remain inside the ‘yellow zone’ in southern Lebanon, operating with guerrilla warfare tactics.” It also pointed out that “American flags have been raised in the settlement of Metula, indicating that the residents of the north are receiving updates on the situation from Washington, not from the Israeli government.”

Meanwhile, the Hebrew-language Israel Hayom wrote: “It is difficult to assume that the attacks will deter Hezbollah, which is demonstrating greater resilience and determination than was expected before the war. The organization understands that Israel is currently under pressure and is exploiting this to its advantage.” The newspaper added, “Israel has no easy way out of the situation it has created. It promised the residents of the north that it would destroy Hezbollah, and it will not fulfill this promise. Furthermore, it is still struggling to provide them with complete security, and they remain exposed to threat and danger at any moment.”

The same newspaper emphasized that “the current situation in the north is worse than it was before the war with Iran. Back then, Israel could do as it pleased in Lebanon, but now the equation has changed—and not for the better.”
