Hezbollah firmly rejected what it described as false and fabricated allegations issued by the Syrian Interior Ministry linking the group to a cell recently detained in Syria, reiterating that it has no presence or operational activity on Syrian territory.
In a statement issued on Sunday, Hezbollah’s media relations office categorically denied any connection to the detained group, stressing that it has consistently affirmed it maintains no form of presence in Syria and is not engaged in any activity there, regardless of its nature.
The statement added that Hezbollah rejects the accusations in their entirety and expressed concern over what it described as a recurring pattern of associating the group with every security incident in Syria. It warned that such claims appear to be part of a deliberate effort to distort the image of the resistance and undermine its primary role—confronting Israeli aggression in defense of Lebanon and its people.
