Yemen’s Ansarllah revolutionary group has warned that Sana’a could move to shut down the Bab Al-Mandab Strait, declaring that such a move would be impossible for any force to reverse and urging an immediate end to US President Donald Trump’s policies undermining peace.
In a post on X, Senior Ansarullah official Hussein Al-Azzi made the threat to close the strategic waterway.
“By the power of God, if Sana’a decides to close the Bab al-Mandab Strait, all humans and jinn combined would be powerless to reopen it,” he stated.

The Yemeni official framed the warning as a response to US policies obstructing stability in the region, calling on Trump “and the complicit world” to immediately reverse course.
“Accordingly, Donald Trump—and a complicit international community—should immediately halt all policies and practices that obstruct peace, and instead uphold the rightful dignity and rights of our people and our nation.”

The Bab Al-Mandab Strait, a vital maritime corridor linking the Red Sea to the Gulf of Aden, is considered one of the world’s most critical oil and trade routes, making any threat to its accessibility a matter of international concern.
