Hezbollah issued on Saturday a statement to dent any connection to the incident that occurred with UNIFIL forces in the Al-Ghandouriya – Bint Jbeil area, calling for caution in passing judgments and assigning responsibilities, pending the Lebanese Army’s investigations to fully ascertain the circumstances of the incident.
Hezbollah also stressed the continuation of cooperation between the residents, UNIFIL, and the Lebanese Army, affirming the necessity of coordination between the Lebanese Army and UNIFIL in its movements, especially under these sensitive circumstances.
In this context, Hezbollah expressed its astonishment at the positions that rushed to hurl accusations arbitrarily, at a time “when these parties are absent and no voice is heard from them when the Israeli enemy assaults UNIFIL forces”.
