Hezbollah Secretary General Sheikh Naim Qassem is to address the Lebanese nation on Friday afternoon, the group’s Military Media announced.

“Stay tuned for a message from Hezbollah Secretary General, his eminence Sheikh Naim Qassem, to the steadfast and resilient Lebanese people today, Friday, April 10, 2026, at 15:00 PM, broadcast on Al-Manar TV and Al-Nour Radio,” a statement by Hezbollah Military Media read.

“His eminence will address the latest developments and the current situation,” the statement added.

Friday’s address is the fifth one of Sheikh Qassem since the Israeli aggression on Lebanon started on March 2.

The first address was on March 4, when the Hezbollah Secretary General emphasized that 15 months of Israeli attacks on Lebanon, despite the November 2024 ceasefire, demands confrontation rather than a diplomatic course, which he said produced no tangible results.

Later on March 13, Sheikh Qassem gave an televised speech on the occasion of International Al-Quds Day. His eminence said that the Hezbollah Lebanese resistance group has prepared itself for a long-term confrontation, asserting that the Israeli enemy lacks the capacity to achieve its goals, while Lebanon’s government has failed diplomatically.

The Hezbollah S.G. addressed the resistance fighters on March 17, describing them as heroes of the war. In a message, Sheikh Qassem stressed that their fight against US-Israeli aggression is one of the most honorable deeds.

On March 25, Sheikh Qassem issued a statement in which he warned that a dangerous US-Israeli scheme to establish the so-called “Greater Israel” is already underway. His eminence stressed that negotiation under fire is surrender, calling for national unity to Defend Lebanon.
