CBS News, citing US officials, reported that 15 American service members were injured in an Iranian drone strike that targeted Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait overnight. The attack is part of Iran’s ongoing response to US-Israeli aggression.
According to the report, the strikes fall under Iran’s “Operation True Promise 4,” which targets US military bases in the region as well as facilities belonging to the Israeli entity. Media reports confirmed that the attacks caused significant damage to military installations, forcing US forces to conduct operations remotely due to escalating threats.

In an apparent attempt to downplay the extent of the damage, the US satellite imagery company Planet Labs announced it would cease publishing high-resolution images of the war zone in the region, at the direct request of the Trump administration. Observers believe this move is intended to conceal evidence documenting the precision of the Iranian strikes and the damage inflicted on US interests — damage that had become increasingly apparent in previously captured images.
Domestically, interviews with American soldiers revealed growing anxiety, frustration, and a loss of confidence in Trump’s strategy toward Iran. Active duty and reserve soldiers expressed their refusal to be “political pawns,” with one quoted as saying, “We don’t want to die for Israel.”
It is worth noting that Tehran has affirmed its continued pursuit of American forces in the region, emphasizing that they “will not be safe anywhere.” Iranian officials describe this as part of their legitimate right to respond to what they call the ongoing US-led aggression since February 28.
