Iran Strikes US Military Sites in Gulf with Missiles and Drones

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced that its naval forces targeted US military sites and infrastructure in the southern Gulf region on Thursday, using a large number of ballistic missiles, Qadir cruise missiles, and attack drones.

In a statement, the IRGC’s Public Relations Office said the operation was conducted as part of the 91st wave of “Operation True Promise 4.” The strikes hit what the IRGC described as US-Israeli military sites and infrastructure across the southern Gulf.

The IRGC further stated that the USS Abraham Lincoln carrier strike group, operating in the northern Indian Ocean, was struck by four Qadir-380 cruise missiles.

In the second phase of the operation, Iranian naval forces targeted a secret gathering of American aviation engineers and fighter pilots outside a base in the United Arab Emirates. According to the IRGC, ballistic missiles accurately struck the location. Field reports indicate heavy ambulance traffic and a large number of casualties.

Later, the naval forces launched a large-scale attack against a US MQ-1 drone unit at Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait.

The IRGC’s public relations office confirmed that maritime traffic in the Strait of Hormuz remains under constant monitoring by Iranian naval forces, warning that any hostile action will be met with a decisive response. The IRGC emphasized that instability in navigation through the strait is solely due to American aggression.
