IRGC Launches 82nd Wave of Strikes on US-Israeli Assets with Drones, Missiles

The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) has announced the launch of the 82nd wave of retaliatory operations against the invading US-Israeli coalition, employing a combination of missiles and drones.

In a statement issued Thursday, the IRGC said the operation was in retaliation for earlier airstrikes that targeted critical infrastructure and civilian facilities across Iran. The wave began early Thursday and would continue throughout the day, according to the statement.

The IRGC said a large swarm of kamikaze drones devastated designated US interests in the Arifjan and Al-Kharj districts of Saudi Arabia, the US Defense Logistics Site (KGL), Patriot radar systems in Bahrain’s Sheikh Isa region, support fuel depots for the US military, a hangar for P-8 surveillance aircraft, a hangar for MQ-9 Reaper combat drones, and a satellite communications dish for drones deployed at Ali Al-Salem Air Base.

The retaliatory strikes were dedicated to the “honorable and heroic Iranians” in the northern provinces of East Azarbaijan, Ardabil, Gilan, Mazandaran, and Golestan.

The IRGC added that a military command center in the occupied territories, as well as facilities linked to the Israeli regime’s nuclear program near the Dead Sea, were also hit in an “impact-driven” strike. Footage emerging from the occupied territories showed the impact of Iranian missiles.

According to the statement, fighters from the Axis of Resistance carried out 230 operations over the past 24 hours, marking the “most extensive” scale of operations against US interests and Israeli positions. The IRGC noted that Lebanon’s Hezbollah resistance movement conducted 87 operations, Iraq’s Islamic Resistance group carried out 23 offensives, and Iranian Armed Forces executed 110 retaliatory missile and drone strikes.

The IRGC described the ongoing conflict in West Asia as a war of choice by the United States, the Israeli regime and their regional allies, stressing that the response to the large-scale aggression would continue until “the hands of aggressors and tyrants are cut off from the region” and genuine peace and stability are restored.

The United States and Israel launched an extensive, unprovoked military campaign against Iran following the assassination of Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Sayed Ali Khamenei, along with several high-ranking military commanders and civilians, on February 28. The aggression has included intensive strikes on both military installations and civilian facilities across the country, resulting in considerable loss of life and widespread infrastructure damage.

In response, the Iranian Armed Forces initiated retaliatory missile and drone operations against American bases across West Asia and Israeli positions in the occupied territories.
