The Islamic Resistance Military Media issued a statement that detailed the heroic confrontation between Hezbollah fighters and the Israeli armored units in Taybeh-Qantara area, South Lebanon. The statement explained how the Resistance fighters lured the enemy into a precise ambush before firing their anti-armor missiles.
As a result of the ambush, the enemy lost 10 tanks and 2 bulldozers before its troops fled the scene of the confrontation.

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
“Permission [to fight] has been granted to those who are being fought because they were wronged, and Allah is competent to grant them victory.”

The Seventh Brigade of the 36th Division of the “Israeli” army deployed a remotely controlled D9 bulldozer between the Al-Muhaysibat area in Al-Taybeh and the town of Al-Qantara on Tuesday, 26/03/2026, intending to scout and detect the positions of the Islamic Resistance defenses. The mujahideen observed and delayed it to lure the enemy into a precise ambush.
At 18:50 on Wednesday, an armored column advanced in a linear formation from the Al-Muhaysinat area toward Al-Qantara, aiming to take control. The fighters waited until all enemy vehicles were within the firing zone. Upon the command, and with the call “O Messenger of Allah,” the skilled shooters fired guided missiles at the central element of the formation, consisting of 4 Merkava tanks and a D9 bulldozer, destroying them with precision.
Meanwhile, the rear element of 4 Merkava tanks attempted to deploy dense smoke cover to conceal their position but was immediately struck by guided missiles, resulting in complete destruction in full view of their crews. Simultaneously, artillery support units of the Resistance targeted the enemy’s command posts in Al-Taybeh, Rab Thalatheen, and Al-Awiyda, as well as reinforcements sent to evacuate casualties.
The vanguard attempted to continue toward the entrance of Al-Qantara, but the fighters engaged them with direct-fire missiles, destroying a D9 bulldozer and a Merkava tank, in addition to a second tank near the fuel depot. This forced the enemy soldiers to abandon their remaining vehicles and retreat on foot toward the Al-Muhaysinat area.
The fighters successfully foiled the enemy’s maneuver, inflicting losses of 10 tanks and 2 D9 bulldozers. They had also thwarted a similar attempt two days earlier from Al-Taybeh toward Deir Suryan, destroying 8 Merkava tanks.
