Hezbollah MP from Doha Calls for Immediate Halt to Israeli Aggression on Lebanon

Lebanese MP Hasan Fadlallah affirmed the current climate of heightened tension in the region is the direct result of repeated threats and persistent war rhetoric by Israeli occupation leaders, renewing Lebanon’s call for an end to Israeli violations of its sovereignty.

Speaking in Doha, MP Fadlallah stressed that escalating regional instability stems from Israeli threats, arguing that the situation demands the highest levels of cooperation and coordination among the region’s states and peoples, as the danger affects all. His remarks were made while representing the Lebanese Parliament alongside MP Qassem Hashem at the meeting of the standing committee of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly on budget and planning 2025.

MP Fadlallah reiterated his condemnation of Israeli attacks against several countries, including Qatar, noting that Lebanon continues to face ongoing Israeli aggression, including the targeting of civilians and repeated breaches of its sovereignty. He underscored that Lebanon’s core demand remains the immediate cessation of these attacks, the protection of national sovereignty, and efforts to restore the country’s stability and recovery.

On the sidelines of the visit, Fadlallah and Hashem met with Qatari Shura Council Speaker Hassan bin Abdullah Al Ghanim, conveying to him the greetings of Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri. Fadlallah highlighted the deep-rooted historical ties between Lebanon and Qatar, praising Doha’s longstanding support for Lebanon during times of hardship and expressing the Lebanese people’s appreciation for this stance.

For his part, Al Ghanim conveyed his regards to Speaker Berri and reaffirmed Qatar’s steadfast support for Lebanon as it confronts ongoing challenges, stressing that this support will continue under all circumstances.
