Dozens were martyred or injured on Wednesday as the Israeli enemy intensified attacks on civilians in several areas across Lebanon including the capital, Beirut.

Al-Manar correspondent reported drone strikes on a car in the southern coastal city of Sidon.

“Around 9:15, a series of explosions were heard in Sidon, later determined to be caused by several missiles fired by Israeli drone targeting a civilian vehicle opposite the Civil Defense Center in Sidon and the Zaatari Mosque,” Al-Manar’s Amin Shoumar reported.

According to reports, the driver of the targeted vehicle exited and moved away, urging Civil Defense personnel to keep their distance. He then attempted to take cover behind a tree, but the missiles tracked him, and he was martyred.

Two persons were injured in the strike, including a Civil Defense member who succumbed to his wounds later.

Lebanese Health Ministry announced that the strikes on Sidon killed two citizens and injured another.

Earlier before dawn on Wednesday, Israeli warplanes launched two airstrikes targeting three residential apartments in the Zqaq Al-Blat and Basta neighborhoods of central Beirut, without prior warning.

Footage showed widespread destruction around the targeted apartments, with dozens of homes and cars damaged. Rescue and emergency teams worked to recover victims amidst a heavy security presence.

Lebanese Health Ministry announced that the strikes on Beirut killed at least 6 people and injured 26 others.
