“The millions of honorable Iranians who took to the streets today in support of Al-Aqsa, despite the fierce war waged against them, and the unity of the leaders with the masses, are further proof of their principled stance in support of Palestine, and that the Islamic Republic, under the leadership of Mr. Mojtaba Khamenei, will continue on the same path laid out by the martyr Sayyed Ali Khamenei with his blood,” Abu Obeida said.
“The International Quds Day, which our Muslim peoples have commemorated in support of Palestine, is an opportunity to unite the energies of the nation and refocus its attention on its major issues. Jerusalem groans under occupation, your Al-Aqsa Mosque is empty of worshippers, and your true enemy is the Zionist entity that lies in wait for you and expands its aggression against our nation day by day,” he affirmed.
For its part, the Islamic Jihad Movement issued a statement on Al-Quds Day, stressing that the occasion consecrates the commitment of all Muslims to the Palestinian cause in accordance with the announcement of Imam Khomeini.
“What our region is witnessing today is an existential war ignited by the leaders of the usurping Zionist entity, headed by the war criminal Netanyahu, who declared clearly and unequivocally that his entity is waging an open aggression against all Muslims, without exception, in a clear indication of the entity’s goals to impose its control and dominance over our region and our nation.”
“We salute the Islamic Republic of Iran—its noble and proud people, its courageous government, and its steadfast and resolute leadership—for its heroic resistance against the American-Israeli aggression. Iran has offered its Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, as a martyr for the sake of the nation’s dignity and to deter aggression, defending the freedom of its people and supporting the holy sites of Muslims in Palestine.” the statement added.
“We also salute all the mujahideen waging the noblest battles against the Zionist enemy on all fronts, especially the heroes of the Islamic Resistance in southern Lebanon who are sacrificing their lives for their land and holy sites,” the statement concluded.
