Day 12 of Israeli Aggression on Lebanon: Massacre in Sidon Amid Expanding Civilian Toll

The Israeli strike on Sidon's Al-Fawwar claime dthe lives of 8 people and injured 9 others, according to the Lebanese Health Ministry (March 13, 2026).

On the twelfth day of the ongoing Israeli aggression on Lebanon, the Israeli enemy carried a deadly strike on the southern city of Sidon, as attacks continued across the country.

The escalation followed a separate attack that killed two people in a southern border town and came a day after a strike that claimed the lives of two academics from the Lebanese University.

Al-Manar correspondent in Sidon reported on Friday an Israeli strike on a residential building in the area of Al-Fawwar, in the outskirts of the southern coastal city of Sidon.

The strike targeted a four-storey building of Al-Hiba compound in Al-Fawwar, with many reported martyred or injured, according to our correspondent.

Lebanese Health Ministry announced that the strike in Sidon’s Al-Fawwar killed eight people and injured nine others in an initial toll.

Elsewhere in the southern border town of Shebaa, two people were martyred after being targeted by an Israeli drone while tending their livestock, Al-Manar correspondent in south Lebanon reported.

Meanwhile on Friday, our reporter also said an Israeli drone targeted a motorcycle on the road between Safad AL-Battikh and Tibneen in southern Lebanon.

The Israeli enemy also targeted the bridge connecting the two banks of the Litani River in the town of Zrarieh at dawn on Friday, which led to its complete destruction.

Earlier on Thursday, two academics in the Lebanese University were martyred after their vehicle was targeted near the university campus.

The martyred academics were Dr. Hussein Bazzi, Dean of Faculty of Science and Dr. Murtada Srour, a physicist and academic in the same faculty.
