Lebanon: Dozens Martyred, Injured as Israeli Enemy Launches Wide-scale Aggression

Smoke rises after Israeli strikes on Beirut's southern suburb, Dahiyeh (March 2, 2026).

Dozens of Lebanese were martyred or injured in the early morning on Monday as the Israeli enemy launched a wide-scale aggression on Beirut’s Dahiyeh, south Lebanon and Bekaa.

Lebanese Health Ministry put the death toll of the aggression at 31 martyrs so far, adding that number of injuries reached at least 149.

The aggression on Beirut’s southern suburb, Dahiyeh, targeted several residential apartments, according to Al-Manar correspondent.

A large number of towns across south Lebanon and Bekaa were targeted by Israeli strikes.

The Israeli strikes led to heavy traffic jam as thousands of families rushed to flee the targeted and threatened areas in the three regions of the country.

Earlier on Monday, Hezbollah launched a rocket and drone attack against an Israeli military base near Haifa in northern occupied territories, as the Israeli enemy mobilized nearly 100,000 soldiers at the border with Lebanon.

Hezbollah’s attack was in retaliation for the assassination of Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei, “in defense of Lebanon and its people and in response to the repeated Israeli aggressions”.

“The resistance leadership has always affirmed that the continuation of Israeli aggression and the assassination of our leaders, youth and people gives us the right to defend ourselves and respond at the appropriate time and place,” the Lebanese resistance group said in a statement, referring to the near daily Israeli attacks on Lebanon.

“The Israeli enemy cannot continue its 15-month-long aggression without a warning response to halt this aggression and withdraw from the occupied Lebanese territories.”
