The Khatam Al-Anbiya Air Defense Headquarters also continues to defend the country’s airspace and has had good success in downing enemy aircraft, the top Iranian commander said, noting that the Navy is also acting powerfully in defending the Iranian maritime borders.

Maj. Gen. Hatami said all of these measures are being carried out based on plans prepared and exercised before, stressing that they will continue until the full punishment of the enemy is completed.

Elsewhere, he offered condolences on the martyrdom of Leader of the Islamic Revolution Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei, saying the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Army, like other Armed Forces and all the Iranians are mourning the tragic loss today.

Imam Khamenei was martyred in a Saturday attack by criminal US-Israeli forces.
