The spokesperson for the General Staff of Iran’s Armed Forces, Brigadier General Shekarchi, has warned that any provocative move by the United States will be met with a decisive and crushing response from Iran’s powerful military forces.
Shekarchi dismissed recent statements by US President Donald Trump as “baseless, boastful and delusional,” emphasizing that Washington would face serious consequences for any aggressive action.
According to the general, Iran’s armed forces backed by what he described as a brave, united, and resilient nation are closely monitoring all movements by US and Israeli forces in the region from a position of full readiness.
He characterized the US military presence in the region as part of a campaign of “psychological warfare, blackmail and bullying.”
Shekarchi further warned that any provocative action by US forces or affiliated terrorist groups would be met with decisive retaliation from the Islamic Republic.
“We have proven that we are not warmongers, but we are not afraid of war either. We will powerfully defend our country and the interests of the noble Iranian nation,” he stated.
Addressing the US government directly, Shekarchi cautioned that any reckless move would ignite a widespread fire across the region and draw an unprecedented response.
