Israeli occupation warplanes launched a series of airstrikes on Thursday evening across Lebanon’s Bekaa Valley, an escalation Lebanese officials and local media condemned as a breach of national sovereignty and ceasefire arrangements.
The bombardment struck the outskirts of Chmestar and Buday west of Baalbek, as well as Halabta in the northern Bekaa, and extended to the western mountain range near Hermel.

According to Al-Manar’s correspondent, around 25 strikes hit locations throughout the Baalbek-Hermel Governorate, killing one person and injuring 29 others, in addition to causing extensive material damage.
The attacks occurred shortly before sunset, moments ahead of the breaking of the fast, intensifying fear and tension among residents in the targeted areas.
