Israeli occupation forces carried out a wide-ranging campaign of raids and arrests early Saturday across multiple cities and towns in the occupied West Bank and Al-Quds (Jerusalem), according to Palestinian media reports.
In Bethlehem, Israeli forces stormed the Dheisheh refugee camp and neighboring towns, conducting searches and arrest operations.
In Nablus, heavy deployments of Israeli military vehicles were reported, with snipers positioned on rooftops. Occupation forces fired tear gas and sound bombs, causing cases of suffocation, while raids were also carried out in nearby camps and towns.

Additional arrests were reported at a military checkpoint near Qalqilya.
Further raids targeted Beit Ummar and Al-Arroub refugee camp north of Al-Khalil (Hebron), as well as Masafer Yatta, where Israeli incursions coincided with settler attacks.
In Al-Quds, Israeli occupation forces stormed several towns, erected surprise military checkpoints, raided homes, and arrested a young man in the vicinity of the occupied Al-Aqsa Mosque. Detainees were later transferred to interrogation centers.
UNRWA’s Lazzarini Warns against Israeli Escalation
Earlier on Friday, Commissioner-General of UNRWA Philippe Lazzarini warned that Israeli escalation in the West Bank undermines the “two-state solution.”
During a press conference on Friday evening on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference, which began in Germany’s Munich, Lazzarini pointed out that the Israelis, who are seizing Palestinian land, are escalating their violence and land confiscation in the West Bank.
He stressed the need to draw attention to the events in the West Bank before it is too late, and before they undermine the future of the “two-state solution.”
Lazzarini noted, meanwhile, that the situation in Gaza “remains tragic,” with people deprived of almost everything and struggling to survive as a result of the Israeli war of extermination.
He added that children in Gaza have not attended school for more than two years, emphasizing the importance of UNRWA continuing to provide health, primary, and secondary education services.
He also warned that the agency is under immense pressure and that Israel continues to violate international law.
The US is still not clear about how it sees the future role of the UN Palestinian refugee agency (UNRWA), its chief Philippe Lazzarini has said, warning that jettisoning it would create a black hole similar to Iraq after 2003.

He continued, “Israel continues its political pressure to eliminate UNRWA, and we witnessed the demolition of our headquarters in occupied East Jerusalem.”
