Hezbollah MP: Enemy Pressure, Local incitement Won’t Bring Us Down

Member of Hezbollah’s Loyalty to Resistance MP Hussein Hajj Hasan stressed on Thursday that the Resistance is not a recent phenomenon, but rather a history dating back hundreds of years.

“Resistance is the act of the free against slavery, and the stance of truth against falsehood. Therefore, if there is occupation, there must be resistance.” the MP said in a local ceremony in Beirut’s southern suburb, Dahiyeh, on the occasion of birth anniversary of Imam Mahdi (AJF).

“Otherwise, it means surrendering to the enemy, the occupier, the tyrant, and the oppressor, and this is what we won’t do. On the contrary, if we go through an ordeal, we review its causes and move forward,” the lawmaker stated, as reported by Hezbollah’s Media Relations.

He noted that there are calls in Lebanon to capitulate to the Israeli demands and the US pressures, stressing: “Those making these calls should know that concession only leads to further concessions.”

MP Hajj Hasan affirmed meanwhile, that resilience and national unity are required in this stage “not only from the Resistance, but from all Lebanese.”

In this context, the lawmaker slammed some local powers for inciting against the Resistance and the people of Resistance.

“They are adopting the enemy’s narrative, and justifying the attacks. However, all of this will not bring us down, rather it will increase our determination and steadfastness. Others must review their policies and positions that justify the enemy’s killing, aggression, and occupation.”

MP Hajj Hasan emphasized that “there can be no ambiguity between right and wrong when our enemy is the Zionist entity and the US administration.”

“Even if the enemy proves stronger at times, or wins some battles while we win others, this does not alter the right,” the Hezbollah lawmaker affirmed.
