Hezbollah mourned Sayyed Abdul Karim Nasrallah, the father of the group’s former secretary general, Martyr Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah, praising him as a devout educator and a man of faith whose life left a lasting moral and spiritual legacy.

In a statement issued on Monday, Hezbollah described the late Sayyed Nasrallah as “a living embodiment of the good word and the blessed, deeply rooted tree whose influence extended into the conscience of the Islamic nation, spreading values of dignity, honor, steadfastness, sacrifice, and victory.”

Quoting verses from the Quran invoking patience and submission to God’s will in times of loss, the statement said the group mourns “with deep sorrow and full acceptance of God’s judgment and wisdom” the passing of “the virtuous educator, the righteous servant, and the patient, faithful believer.”

The statement added that Abdul Karim Nasrallah passed away earlier Monday morning after a lifetime marked by devotion, patience, asceticism, and struggle, describing his life as one spent in faith and quiet perseverance.

“He was, by God’s grace, a model of the good word and the blessed tree, firmly rooted and steadfast, which bore a lofty branch whose impact reached the conscience of the Islamic nation,” the statement said.

Expressions of Condolence

Hezbollah extended its condolences to the Imam Mahdi (may God hasten his reappearance), the group’s spiritual and religious leadership, including Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei, and the Secretary General Sheikh Naim Qassem, as well as to the esteemed Nasrallah family and supporters.

The statement concluded with prayers that God grant the deceased His mercy, admit him into paradise, and reunite him with the Prophet Mohammad and his pure household.
