Kataeb Lawmaker Throws Void Accusations, Speaker Berri Responds

Addressing the public session of the parliament convened to study the 2026 state budget draft law, Kataeb MP Elias Hankash seized the chance to unveil all his grudge against what he called as the “weaponry”.

Without providing any piece of evidence, Hankash said that the “weaponry” is behind all the assassinations that happened in Lebanon in the past period.

As a lawmaker, Hankash should have resorted to the investigations and court sentences before throwing accusations in an arbitrary way.

Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri, commenting on Hankash’s remarks, stated, “It is not the weapons of the resistance.”

Hezbollah Lawmaker: Lebanon Must Maintain Power, State Budget Lacks Economic Means of Confronting Crisis

Member of Loyalty to Resistance parliamentary bloc, Dr. Hussein Hajj Hasan, indicated that the 2026 state budget draft law lacks the economic rhetoric that can face the ongoing crisis.

Addressing the parliament convened to study the state budget law, MP Hajj Hasan asked about the government’s plans to deal with the issues of the public servicemen and teachers.

Meanwhile, MP Hajj Hasan underlined the necessity of maintaining the national power represented by the Resistance which, he added, achieved victory in years 1984, 1985, 1993, 1996, 2000, 2006, 2017 in cooperation with the people and army.

Hezbollah lawmaker also underscored the national solidarity, warning against the political remarks which provoke the enemy against a wide segment of the Lebanese people.
