IRGC Navy: Security of the Strait of Hormuz is Tied to Tehran’s Decisions

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Navy announced it had advanced military capabilities that would be revealed in due time to counter enemies and threats.

The Navy has full surveillance over the Gulf region, and the security of the Strait of Hormuz is tied to Tehran’s decisions, given its control over navigation there.

While neighboring countries are considered friends, using their territory against Iran would make them enemies, the Navy warned.

The IRGC Navy can close the Strait of Hormuz with its operational capabilities, shifting from traditional to smart methods using advanced tech. Closing it would impose economic costs on the US, and any such move would spark regional fire fueled by US policies.
