Multiple witnesses told AFP on Sunday that Riyadh’s financial district was targeted and the area’s Aramco building was damaged, after the Saudi-led coalition said it had intercepted missiles launched from Yemen.
“Aramco tower in KAFD has been targeted, that’s the sure thing,” said one witness, referring to the King Abdullah Financial District.
Two other witnesses confirmed seeing damage to the building, according to AFP.

Earlier on Sunday, the Saudi-led coalition said it “intercepted and destroyed” four missiles, including two ballistic missiles and two cruise missiles.
“Air defenses intercepted and destroyed two cruise missiles in the Riyadh and southern regions,” coalition spokesman Maj. Gen. Turki al-Maliki said in his latest statement on US social media platform X.

Al-Maliki did not provide further details regarding the origin of the cruise missiles.
The announcement came less than an hour after he said coalition air defenses had intercepted and destroyed two ballistic missiles launched from Yemen toward the Saudi capital, Riyadh.
