Brigadier General Yahya Saree, Spokesman for the Yemeni Armed Forces, on Wednesday called on all those present at Aden Airport to evacuate immediately, warning of the presence of a Saudi military cargo plane transporting weapons.
“Our armed forces call on those present at Aden Airport to immediately evacuate the airport due to the presence of a Saudi enemy military cargo plane transporting weapons to kill the sons of the Yemeni people,” Saree said in a statement.

The warning comes amid escalating tensions over the use of Yemeni airports to transport Saudi military equipment.
On October 21, Saree accused Saudi Arabia of using Riyan Airport in Hadramout to transport weapons and military equipment.

Yemeni Armed Forces have been for weeks carrying out retaliatory strikes targeting Saudi facilities, across the Kingdom and Saudi-backed forces across Yemen.
The revolutionary forces have been calling for lifting years-long blockade on the impoverished Arab country, with Saudi Arabia staging hundreds of airstrikes and other attacks targeting Yemeni territories.
