Secretary General Sheikh Naim Qassem addressed Hezbollah wounded fighters on their day which coincides with the birthday of Abi Fadl Al-Abbass (A.S.) who was injured in Karbala battle in defense of Imam Hussein (A.S.), hailing their sacrifices and stressing that the US tyranny and Zionist criminality are at their peak in this confrontation.
Below is the text of the message:
{Those who believed, emigrated, and strove in the way of Allah with their wealth and their lives are of a higher rank with Allah, and it is they who are the successful} (At-Tawbah 20).
To the wounded among the mujahideen, sons and daughters of our dear Ummah—men, women, youth, and children. The flow of your blood is a radiance of life; the pain of your wounds is a cry of truth; and your patience is the ink of hope and dignity. You have taken the path of Allah Almighty for the sake of the homeland and the liberation of land and humanity, and you have proven the worthiness of a dignified life in the face of the rubble of humiliation, desire, and the scramble for this fleeting world. You remain a testimony of pride for generations and for the free. You have an example in Abu Al-Fadl Al-Abbas, and in the wounds of our Guardian, His Eminence Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei.
The wounded are the wellspring of life that never runs dry, the hope of a future promised with victory, and the banner of human dignity. Allah Almighty says: {So do not weaken in pursuit of the enemy. If you are suffering, they are suffering as you are suffering, but you expect from Allah that which they do not expect} (An-Nisa’ 104). And the Commander of the Faithful, Imam Ali, said: “Adhere to the ground and be patient in the face of affliction.”
We stand before a major confrontation, led by the American tyrant with a panting Western mobilization and savage Zionist criminality. You stood firm alongside the mujahideen and our people with legendary steadfastness. The resistance fighters halted 75,000 enemy “Israeli” soldiers on the outskirts of our pure southern Lebanon, and our people returned to their land at the moment of the ceasefire to protect it with their bodies, faith, and steadfastness. Your resistance in the Battle of The Formidable in Might, before it and after it, disrupted the expansion of land usurpation and obstructed the American “New Middle East”. With this resistance, the land will remain for its people, the homeland for its sons; and no matter the pressures and sacrifices, with steadfastness and perseverance the equation changes. Falsehood has its turn: {And these days We alternate among the people} (Aal ‘Imran 140).
You recover from your wounds because you are people of faith and truth. As long as we remain on the path of Karbala of Hussein and the line of Hezbollah, we are always victorious. As the Master of the Ummah’s Martyrs, His Eminence Sayyed Hassan, said: “When we achieve victory, we achieve victory; and when we are martyred, we achieve victory.”
In our case, some of us are martyred and thus triumph by passing the torch of dignity to their brothers and families; some of us are wounded and thus triumph on the path of recovery and remaining in the field; and some of us continue true to the pledge, achieving decisive victory. Allah Almighty says: {And it is incumbent upon Us to give victory to the believers} (Ar-Rum 47).
Salutations to the wounded, who raised our heads high—especially the pager-wounded; salutations to their brothers and families who supported them and stood by them; salutations to those who treated and supported them and extended a helping hand. And the greatest salutations to our Guardian, His Eminence Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei, the leader of this divine march toward achieving its goals.
