Former Progressive Socialist Party leader Walid Jumblatt warned that Lebanon may be entering a cycle of “negotiating for the sake of negotiating,” with the Lebanese delegation likely to face new demands at every negotiating session by the Israeli delegation.
In a post on X, Jumblatt said: “It seems we’ve entered a cycle of negotiating for the sake of negotiating, and at every session the Lebanese delegation will receive new demands.”
He urged Lebanon to draw lessons from the Oslo process and deepen coordination with the Palestinian Authority, based in Ramallah.

“Therefore, I advise to learn from the Oslo process and deepen coordination with Ramallah District,” Jumblatt said.
The Lebanese Druze Leader has repeatedly slammed the so-called Framework Agreement, signed by the Lebanese Authority and the Israeli enemy.
Earlier last July, Jumblatt warned that the aforementioned agreement is a “unilateral agreement dictated by Israel,” and “marks a “dangerous shift” in the Lebanese-Israeli struggle.”
