An informed source said that Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi and his accompanying delegation will hold a meeting with mediators in New York on Monday to review developments and exchange views on the latest issues, stressing that no talks with the US are planned.
A number of Western sources had claimed that Iran and the US would possibly hold negotiations in New York on Monday, with the participation of mediators.
However, a source familiar with the matter told Tasnim that Araqchi and the Iranian delegation will meet with mediators on Monday to discuss the latest developments and exchange views on current issues, and that there are no plans for negotiations with the US.
The source added that during their interaction with the Qatari mediator last Tuesday, the Iranian team clearly and transparently presented its conditions and proposal for reopening the Strait of Hormuz.
