The Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari, announced that “the west of the Strait of Hormuz, the strait itself, and the Persian Gulf are under the full control of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Naval Forces, while the east of the Strait of Hormuz and the northern Indian Ocean are under the full control of the Regular Navy.”
He also stated: “We are moving with strength in the northern Sea of Oman and east of the Strait of Hormuz, and we will not allow anyone to intend to pass,” adding that “on the other side as well, our brothers in the IRGC stand firmly.”
In this context, Sayyari emphasized that “despite the enemy’s intimidation, the truth of the matter is that the Strait of Hormuz is under our full control and dominance.”
Furthermore, Sayyari noted that “the Iranian people and the armed forces are ready to confront enemy threats,” continuing, “all citizens are prepared to defend the country as soldiers of the nation, and this readiness represents a clear message to Iran’s enemies.”
