Israeli colonists attacked a Palestinian home in the village of Umm Safa, north of Ramallah, while a Palestinian citizen of Israel was seriously wounded in a shooting in Sakhnin and occupation forces detained a father and son in Tulkarm, in a series of incidents underscoring the escalating violence affecting Palestinian communities across the region.
Settlers Attack Home in Umm Safa Under Military Protection
Israeli colonists on Friday attacked a Palestinian’s home in the village of Umm Safa, north of Ramallah, according to local sources.
The colonists, protected by the occupation forces, attacked Mohammad al-Obaiyat’s home, as Israeli occupation soldiers confiscated the family members’ mobile phones to prevent them from documenting the incident or sharing details of what was taking place.
The occupation authorities had recently installed an iron gate at the entrance to the al-Obaiyat family’s home, in an attempt to isolate it and tighten restrictions on the family.
Head of the Village Council Marwan Sabah said that the colonists carried out acts of vandalism in the area between Umm Safa and the neighboring village of Burham, at a time when the occupation forces conducted a large-scale raid on the village.
Colonists’ violence against Palestinians and their property is routine in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities. Such violence includes property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, and attacks on vulnerable homes, among other acts.
Approximately 1 million Israeli colonists are living in colonies in the West Bank and East Jerusalem in violation of international law.
Palestinian Citizen of Israel Seriously Injured in Sakhnin Shooting
A Palestinian man in his 30s was seriously wounded in a shooting on Friday afternoon in the Sakhnin.
This brings the death toll among Palestinian citizens of ‘Israel’ since the start of 2026 to 163, including men and women, amid the continued spread of organized crime and a growing sense of insecurity.
The surge follows a record year in 2025, when 252 people were killed in 218 separate incidents, according to the Abraham Initiatives, a non-governmental organization that monitors violence among Palestinian.
The rise in killings has continued since National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir, who has previously been convicted of offences related to incitement to racism against Arabs, took office in 2023.
Israeli Enemy Forces Detain Father and Son in Tulkarm
Israeli occupation forces on Friday detained a father along with his son from the Tulkarm city neighborhood of Shweika, according to local sources.
The occupying soldiers showed up at a home in the neighborhood and rounded up the homeowner along with his 20-year-old son.
Meanwhile, the occupying forces stormed the Iktaba suburb and the towns of Anabta and Kafr al-Labad, east of Tulkarm, patrolling their streets and neighborhoods, obstructing the movement of vehicles and inhabitants, breaking into several homes, and subjecting their residents to interrogation.
Settlers Assault Young Men Near Nablus
Israeli colonists on Friday assaulted several young men in Beitua town, south of the occupied West Bank city of Nablus, according to local sources.
The colonists broke into the al-Arma area of the town and intercepted a Palestinian-licensed vehicle carrying the young men before assaulting them.
As with the Umm Safa attack, colonists’ violence against Palestinians and their property remains routine in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities, with approximately 1 million Israeli colonists living in colonies in the West Bank and East Jerusalem in violation of international law.
