On the Second Anniversary of the Israeli Pager Massacre, the Wounded sent a message to affirm steadfastness and allegiance to the Resistance path, command and community.
What follows is the full text of the message:
On the second anniversary of the epic of patience and blood, when betrayal wore the cloak of technology, a light shines from the darkness of wounds that does not fade. Two years since the “pager” massacre; the enemy thought through its betrayal that it would break the will of the resistance and paralyze its community, only to be astonished when those wounds turned into a bridge of certainty, and the loss of sight became a insight illuminating the path to victory.
We stand before a story crafted by blood and limbs—a story of men who defied the impossible and wrote a new chapter of pride and dignity through their pain.
Before that fateful day, the lives of these noble men were full of vitality and vigor, flowing with tireless jihad across various fields. In their community, they were a beneficial rain, racing day and night so that no price was too high for the dignity of this proud environment. They served people with love and humility, defending their families and villages with all their strength and might. They were stern against enemies, merciful among themselves. In their homes, they were tranquility and joy—affectionate fathers, dutiful sons, and supportive husbands who filled every corner with laughter and hope. They watched their children grow day by day, caring for their comfort, sharing the smallest and largest details of life, instilling values of pride, surrounding them with overflowing affection, and leading social life with unflagging energy.
Then came that moment—the moment of betrayal that the enemy intended to be the end, but God made a passage toward a higher glory. Explosions echoed, shrapnel flew, and blood mixed with the soil. The features of the body changed, but the identity remained untouched.
Limbs that used to greet the dawn were lost, eyes that guarded the borders were extinguished, and fresh bodies were transformed into records telling stories of steadfastness. From the womb of those pains, and after a long and arduous treatment journey, these heroes did not bow to the storm, nor did they surrender to the wounds that marked their bodies as badges of honor.
The wounded of the resistance have never surrendered, and never will.
The proof lies in what we witnessed in previous stages of conflict and during the battle of “Al-Asf Al-Ma’kul” (The Eaten Chaff). Heroic fighters were injured by pagers and lost an eye, yet they unhesitatingly continued the path of jihad with their remaining eye, inspired by the resolve of Hussein. Some had a limb amputated, yet carried their weapon with the other hand, armed with the might of Abbas. Among these free men were those who continued the path until later earning the honor of martyrdom, while others suffered new injuries resulting in paralysis—yet their spirit remained vibrant and their determination was never paralyzed.
Today, these proud men pass their days not on the margins of life, but once again in the very heart of the battle. The loss of sight or limbs did not prevent them from continuing the path; they awoke to announce a new jihadi beginning. In their lexicon, jihad is not limited to carrying weapons on the frontlines; it is a vast and expansive field. They transformed into knights in the “Jihad of Clarification,” carrying the free word, pursuing knowledge, and memorizing the Holy Quran, dedicating whatever health remains to raising a resistant generation that does not break. It is the spirit that merges human emotion and deep pain with firm resolve and unrelenting Husseini might.
Our Message to Our Honorable Resistance Community: “Our Insight Is the Secret of Our Steadfastness”
O people of patience and loyalty, O environment of pride that embraced our blood and wounds: we are from you, and through you we continue. Our pledge to you is that these wounds will remain a beacon illuminating the path of honor, and that we will be nothing less than an impregnable shield for you. Your sacrifices with us and your pride in our wounds are the fuel that enables us to overcome every pain, building together an invincible resistance community.
“O our loyal people, the enemy intended through its deceit and treacherous crime to sear our consciousness, weaken our resolves, and rob us of the will to fight in order to cast despair and frustration into your hearts. But today, through our blood and wounds, we convey to you a message of pride and lofty dignity: Do not worry about us, and do not look at us with pity or defeat, for we are still in the heart of the battle. All this devotion we have offered, and all the sacrifices you have made in homes, wealth, and beautiful patience, will not be in vain, but will inevitably be crowned with a near victory, and God does not break His promise. We will break the enemy’s malicious plans, and as long as our insight pulses and our patience grows stronger, we see on the horizon nothing but the tidings of victory and a clear conquest.”
A Message to the Enemy: The Wounds Are Our Weapon
“To this brutal enemy who is ignorant of the nature of our men: You thought that by cutting hands and taking eyes you would extinguish God’s light in our hearts or deter us from the choice of resistance. Know that you are delusional; every wound in our bodies has become a mouth speaking the truth, every amputated palm has turned into a raised flag, and every lost eye has become an insight illuminating the path of the mujahideen toward Jerusalem. We say to you with the might of Abbas and the insight of Hussein: You will never be able to erase our mark, and every wound in us is a promise of your destruction. We do not die; we extend, and our wounds today are our strongest weapon with which we will disturb your sleep, and tomorrow is near for those who await it.”
A Message to the Leader of the Resistance: Remaining Faithful to the Covenant
“To his eminence, our inspiring leader and dear secretary of our resistance: O Sheikh Qassem, our wounds are our renewed oath of allegiance to you every day. A pledge to you from our hearts—which have never beat and will never beat except with loyalty—and from our bodies that take pride in what they bore in the cause of God: We are at your command, and what our bodies failed to do, our spirits and determinations will carry out. Take from our blood and wounds until you are satisfied, and know that you lead men who, even if blood flowed from their veins as rivers, would never leave the arena, nor abandon the path. We are with you, and through you we will cross to the great prayer of victory.”
To the Remnant of God on His Earth, the Master of the Era and Refuge of Hearts (may our souls be sacrificed for the dirt beneath his feet):
Peace be upon you, my master, in our trial and our patience. Peace be upon you the day you were born and the day you are raised alive to wipe over hearts that have bled with longing and wounds.
My master, O Master of the Affair… Here we stand today on the second anniversary of our wounds, carrying to you scars that we count on our bodies as badges of dignity. Yesterday we were in a position of silent giving, moving in the fields of daily jihad—planting resistance in the land and guarding the borders with eyes fixed on victory. Suddenly, on that memorable day, a door of a great test opened before us, and we transitioned from the stage of obscure field work to the threshold of bleeding wounds; a threshold where limbs and eyes were taken from us, but which granted us an unextinguishing insight and an unyielding resolve. The conditions of our bodies changed, but our hearts remained on the same covenant, moving today in a state of strategic patience, dressing the wound and continuing the journey—neither disability has sidelined us, nor has pain turned us away from supporting your religion.
My master, these wounds of ours are but a ray from the eternal Husseini revolution. We learned in the school of Karbala that the body perishes while the creed remains. Even if we have lost eyes or limbs, today we embody the might of Abbas (peace be upon him)—that might which knows no defeat. If hands are severed from us, our spirits will remain defending the tents of resistance, and if eyes are injured, we see the splendor of your coming victory with even greater clarity.
They threw us into the well of darkness, as Joseph was thrown into the depths of the pit, thinking that absence swallows the story, unaware that God was with him, and that the shirt emerging from the heart of trial was good news that loss may conceal within it the secret of reunion.
In the depth of the wound, we learned to shake the trunk of light; we do what we can, then leave it to the Unseen to drop upon us the fresh dates of His mercy. Joseph emerged from the pit as a noble ruler, Moses emerged from the river to fulfill his message, and Mary stood beneath the palm trunk carrying a secret greater than her capacity to speak. Thus, God does not ask the wounded person to be a stone that feels no pain; He only asks them to be a soul that knows how to turn its pain into a path toward Him.
O Master of the Era… Our wounds complain to you of the length of absence, and beseech God by the blood of the oppressed to hasten your honorable relief, so that we may be in your ranks as soldiers, the wounded, and martyrs.
