Israeli occupation forces carried out a new incursion into southern Lebanon on Wednesday, with arrests and arson attacks reportedly taking place in the town of Halta, Al-Manar correspondent reported.
An Israeli occupation force entered the town of Halta in the Hasbaya district this morning and conducted searches of several homes, while also carrying out field interrogations of a number of residents, according to Al-Manar reporter in southern Lebanon.
He added that “the enemy force conducted a sweep using machine guns and carried out bulldozing and destruction of agricultural lands.”
For its part, Lebanese daily Al-AKhbar, an Israeli force entered Halta’s eastern neighborhood, encircled parts of the area and raided and searched several homes. Soldiers assaulted residents and arrested several young men, whose whereabouts and detention status remain unclear.
The occupation forces also shelled the vicinity of residential buildings with artillery and demolished two homes on the outskirts of the village.

The incursion was accompanied by damage to local infrastructure, with Israeli bulldozers leveling land and uprooting olive trees. Sources inside Halta also reported that soldiers dismantled parts of the village’s internet network.
Local sources told Al-Akhbar that Israeli forces stole money from some of the homes they raided. A village source, however, denied reports that solar panels had been taken from rooftops, urging residents to verify such claims before circulating them.
The latest incursion comes amid a sustained pattern of daily Israeli attacks and military violations across southern Lebanon.
