Member of Hezbollah politburo, Hajj Ghaleb Abu Zeinab, commented on the insolent remarks of the US ambassador to Lebanon, stressing that they are aimed at justifying the Israeli crimes against the innocent civilians in South Lebanon.
What follows is the full text of the statement of Abu Zeinab:
The US Ambassador to Lebanon made brazen statements today, speaking with a Zionist voice and attempting to justify the brutal, systematic killing committed by the Israeli enemy against peaceful Lebanese men, women, and children in their homes across southern villages and towns. With total insolence, he deliberately blames the victim for the crimes committed by the executioner.
It is ironic that this ambassador speaks of the interests of the people of the South, trying to sell them illusions of concern for their well-being and their return to their villages, towns, and livelihoods. In reality, the administration he represents covers up the systematic destruction of infrastructure taking place in the South, justifies the crimes of murder and occupation, and supplies the Israeli enemy with weapons and political support. It is a full partner, giving the green light to carry out aggression and terror in Lebanon and the region. Therefore, his statements represent nothing short of a detachment from reality and a hideous attempt to whitewash the aggression and cover it up with flimsy pretexts.
These statements expose once again the true nature of anti-humanitarian US conduct in Lebanon and across our Arab and Islamic nations. They lay bare its bloody arrogance and complete alignment with the butcher Netanyahu, making both two sides of the same coin and joint partners responsible for the blood of our people and children.
We are confident that our people fully understand who stands by them and who conspires against them. They are well aware that someone whose hands and face are stained with the blood of innocents—and who remains a full partner in the crimes and massacres committed by the Zionist enemy against Lebanon—can never be expected to bring any good.
