Qalibaf: US Stoked Unrest in Terrorist War Akin to ISIS

The Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf, stated on Monday that the recent unrest in Iran was instigated by the US president’s interference, asserting that the events of last Thursday and Friday constituted a terrorist war similar to those waged by the ISIS terrorist organization.

He added that the motives behind the recent riots in Iran were comparable to the pager bombings in Lebanon.

This came during a public session of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, where Qalibaf explained that the recent unrest represents a continuation of the “12-day war,” referring to the conflict waged by the Zionist entity against Iran.

He emphasized that the unrest erupted following the direct intervention of the US president, who he asserted initially ordered killings. When signs of the terrorist project’s failure began to appear, Qalibaf said, the US president then called on terrorists and rioters to continue their activities in the streets.

He pointed out that the published lies, such as the claim that the city of Mashhad had fallen, had lost all credibility, and their aim was to perpetuate chaos, insecurity, and killing in Iran.

Qalibaf stressed that all these actions constitute clear crimes according to any fair international court.
