The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Sayyed Mojtaba Khamenei, sent a message on the occasion of Government Week expressing his appreciation for “the good measures taken by the government, especially the sincere and dedicated President who, despite all constraints, various plots by the American and Zionist enemy, and escalating sanctions and blockade, has achieved significant accomplishments.”
Sayyed Khamenei added: “We emphasize the need to clarify, highlight, and focus on Iran’s power and capabilities, and to avoid any discourse that causes despair and weakens national and public motivation,” declaring “categorically that doing anything that harms social unity is prohibited.”
Sayyed Khamenei said: “Any illusory polarization, such as ‘war or negotiation,’ ‘consensus or extremism,’ and ‘compromise or war,’ can directly or indirectly harm the dear Iranian people.”
His Eminence stressed that among the other fundamental issues in the country, which should always be at the forefront of the attention of the government, officials, and various state bodies, is maintaining unity and safeguarding social cohesion. Any action taken in the cultural, social, political, security, or economic spheres should be executed while taking into account its impact on social cohesion.
Sayyed Khamenei added that some actions that may outwardly appear to be supported by certain segments of society—if they lack this dimension, or if the measures prepared to maintain social cohesion are ignored during implementation—could cause harm to those very segments as well as others.
